Non-Anesthesia Dental Cleaning

A calmer approach to caring for your pet’s smile.

At our mobile dental events, a veterinarian evaluates your pet before a trained dental hygienist begins cleaning. See what the visit involves, watch our original procedure video, and explore before-and-after photographs.

How we do it

What happens during a visit?

01 / VETERINARY ASSESSMENT

We start with your pet.

Our veterinarian examines your dog or cat and determines whether an awake dental cleaning is suitable.

02 / GENTLE HANDLING

Comfort comes first.

A trained hygienist holds your pet securely and gently, using calm handling and reassuring voices throughout the cleaning.

03 / CLEAN & POLISH

Visible surfaces are cleaned.

Accessible plaque and tartar are removed with dental instruments, followed by polishing. We share any oral health concerns and recommendations for follow-up care.

Important: Non-anesthesia cleaning is not a substitute for a comprehensive anesthetized dental procedure. It cannot provide dental radiographs or reliably diagnose and treat disease beneath the gums. Pets with suspected painful or advanced dental disease need an appropriate veterinary dental evaluation and treatment.

Is it right for your pet?

Not every pet is a candidate.

The veterinarian assesses each pet’s temperament and oral condition before proceeding. Some pets need a full dental examination under anesthesia, dental radiographs, or treatment that cannot be performed during an awake cleaning.

Our team will discuss concerns identified during the visit and recommend additional veterinary dental care when needed.
